Driver Assessment and Rehabilitation Course 2022
Federation University
This Driver Assessment and Rehabilitation Course trains OT's from all over Australia to work as occupational therapy driver assessors (OTDAs). The course consists of 5 days on line training and 6 days of face to face teaching in Melbourne or Sydney (pending minimum registration numbers).
Participants must have a minimum of 2 years clinical experience, be registered as OTs with AHPRA and be eligible to drive a motor vehicle in Australia and hold a current drivers licence.
Fees - $4300 (incl GST)

Part 1 online: Fridays 28 October 2022; and 4,11,18 and 25 November 2022 9 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.
Part 2 face to face: Melbourne 2-9 December 9 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.
Sydney 9-16 December 9 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.

Spinner Knobs to Space Drive and Everything In Between
The workshop will run over 2 days in the following format:
Day 1 - Thursday 10 November 2022 – Online session covering theory, standards, assessment and clinical reasoning for driving modifications, including drive from wheelchair.
Day 2 – Thursday 17 November 2022 – Practical session in person at the Honda Australia Rider Training (HART) Facility in St Ives, Sydney where you will have the opportunity to experience driving with modifications including the High Level Space Drive Controls.
Both days will run from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
Numbers will be strictly limited to ensure a high quality experience for all attendees.
Cost – Early Bird Registration $770 incl GST (registrations prior to 29.7.2022)
General Registration $825 incl GST (registrations after 29.7.2022)
No refunds will be offered if you are unable to attend, however you will be able to send another OT in your place.
NB – the workshop is only open to driving assessor OTs and you will need to confirm your eligibility when you register.
